I suppose this is worthy of an update... I got promoted on Friday. No idea it was coming, just got a call from the boss with my new title and salary, completely out of the blue. Which probably explains why I'm still sort of in shock over it. It's really nice though. Really, really nice.

Mom: Here, take these iTunes gift cards.
Me: Okay, thanks, why?
Mom: You said you hadn't downloaded music in awhile.
Me: Yeah...
Mom: So you don't have Fitz & the Tantrums or Mumford & Sons or anything cool.
Me: ...

She also kind of kicked my ass on a few songs on Just Dance 3 despite never having played it before.

My mom is more hip than me.

Sushi class was so much fun! At my table I had a couple my parent's age and then a couple a bit older than me, but they were all good people to hang with for 3 hours. So the thing about my dad is that he wasn't around much when I was a kid. Not in the absentee father way, but in the working double-shifts and going back to college so we could have a better life way. Can you believe I adopted Lillie and Louie about a year ago now? It feels like I've had them forever! They've made so much progress since I got them.
